Tour Plan

Expand All
Day 1Drive Kathmandu to Dhap (2900m). 8-9 hrs.

Welcome to the trip, the first day is driving. Avoiding the fast and furious drive, we take a gentle drive through the beautiful highway. In some places, we will stop for refreshment. The Koshi River valley looks dazzling at first and the view of the countryside offers a great scenario. Arriving at Dhap, we take a rest. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2Dhap to Jhapre (2920 m/9580 ft), about 6 hours.

After breakfast at Dhap, commence the excursion through the rhododendron woods. The landscape looks amazing on the horizon. You will see the nearby Sherpa communities and those communities have several Mount Everest summitters. The route is serene and isolated. This is truly getting rid of all the hustle and bustle of urban. The view of Mt. Everest (8848.86 meters) along with Number can be explored. A small Stupa and monastery make us feel spiritual. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp (11,942 ft / 3640 m).

Well, a more exciting and energizing view of the surrounding landscape dominates the route. The breathtaking Himalayan views (the entire range in fact) offer you a wow experience. On the route, we pass some isolated huts and animal shelters. We gradually hike further below the Taklung hill. Passing through the woods, we reach to the Pikey Peak base camp. We sleep early to grab the best view the next morning by climbing the Pikey Peak. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 4Trek Pikey Base Camp to Loding (8,251 ft / 2515 m).

Early in the morning, climb to the Pikey Peak, which offers the delighting views of the entire Everest range. It is also one of the reasons why the Pikey Peak trek has become so popular in recent days. The trek is the best for photography and trek in the less crowded route.  Retracing at the lodge, have breakfast, and continue the trek through the downhill route. While trekking further to Loding, we face some steep sections. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 5Trek to Junbesi ( 8856 ft / 2700m).

From Loding, the route goes along the Jaise Bhanjyang (pass). Having some options for the trail to descend, we chose the suitable one. One of the interesting things to know is that you will meet the classic route of Everest Base Camp. Today's trek allows you to explore several monasteries and Thupten Chholing Monastery is one of them. Overnight at the hotel at Junbesi.

Day 6Trek to Salleri (9711 ft / 2960 m).

We begin the trek after having breakfast at the hotel.  The route to Salleri is mainly dominated by dense woods. But still, some cultural attractions allure you like Chiwong monastery, where a big fair is held during the Mani Rimdu festival time. The trek ends at Salleri, which is a district center of Solukhumbu. Early arriving, we can explore the local market and get to know the Himalayan lifestyles in relation to the economy. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7Salleri to Kathmandu. 9-10 hrs drive

Through the winding route and amazing countryside scenery, we drive back to Kathmandu after the trek from Salleri. If you can organize time and budget, the Everest base camp trek can be connected from here. Arriving in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
